Study Abroad Scholarship Information
We will introduce information about scholarships that can be used for short-term overseas training and long-term study abroad that you can participate in while in school.This page provides information only on scholarships that require application via the university.

Payment | Global Scholarships (Short-term) | ①Showa Boston Short-Term Program/Short-Term Partner University Overseas Training/ Overseas internship ➁S-GLAP | This scholarship aims to encourage students to acquire advanced language skills and participate in study abroad programs in a multicultural environment. ① The amount of the grant varies depending on the program, but for short-term training programs, 3 to 7 yen will be paid (there are grant standards and limits on the number of recipients). ② If an S-GLAP registrant participates in a short-term overseas training program, 5 yen will be paid regardless of the above payment criteria (there is a limit on the amount of concurrent payments). |

University of Queensland DD | This scholarship aims to encourage students to acquire advanced language skills and participate in study abroad programs in a multicultural environment. ① Students who participate in the Boston study abroad program for one semester or more will receive 1 yen (subject to grant criteria and limited number of recipients). *Applicable from Spring 20. ② Students who participate in TUJ credit-transfer program courses at their own expense will be paid 12 yen upon completion of the program. ➂Selected students participating in the University of Queensland double degree program will be awarded 120 million yen per term. |

The target programs vary depending on the year. | This is a non-repayable scholarship provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO). The number of recipients is determined by the program, and selection is based on academic performance and household income standards.

Unspecified | An overseas study support system sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology through public-private collaboration.
The goal is for the dispatched students and supporting companies to work together to form a global talent community, and to develop them into "talent that is needed in society, particularly in the industrial sector," and "talent that can be active on the world stage with a global perspective." Payment | <External Scholarships> Transcosmos Foundation Study Abroad Support Grant | Showa Boston Long-Term Program / Curriculum Study Abroad / Exchange Study Abroad / Self-Funded Study Abroad | This scholarship is provided to financially support students who participate in overseas study as part of the Transcosmos Foundation's international human resource development program. Students participating in long-term study abroad are provided with 30 yen per person. There is a limit to the number of students, and recipients are selected through a screening process. |
Payment | <External Scholarships> Sato Yo International Scholarship Foundation Study Abroad Scholarships | Study abroad for at least six months and two semesters in designated countries in ASEAN and Southwest Asia | This is a grant-type scholarship provided by the Sato Yo International Scholarship Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation. It is for studying abroad in 18 countries in ASEAN and Southwest Asia. There are academic standards, and the foundation also conducts selection. Monthly scholarship: 10 yen *18 yen in Singapore Travel expenses etc.: 25 yen Lump sum exchange student allowance: 15 yen Insurance fee: Actual cost up to 15 yen |
In addition to the above, there are also scholarships offered by local governments, various foundations, and overseas universities for international students, so try searching for these individually.
