Currently, I work in the Information Management Department, which disseminates industry news and bankruptcy information, and I am in charge of proofreading and writing articles.She is also in charge of interviews with presidents of major companies, and she is glad she studied psychology because she thinks about how close she feels to the other person.I also feel that there is a big difference between knowing psychology and not knowing it when it comes to building relationships of trust with people both inside and outside the company in order to run the job smoothly. Our relationship with people is something that will never be severed from now on.I believe that by studying psychology, you can make your relationships with the people around you a little smoother and provide hints for understanding others.I would like you to study at Showa Women's University's Department of Psychology.

I chose the Department of Psychology because I wanted to study psychology in advertising and marketing and make Japanese advertising resonate with more people.Currently, as an SNS consultant, I support companies in their SNS operations.Influencer marketing, which was the topic of my graduation thesis, is exactly what I do today, and I am using the research I did back then as my own knowledge.Additionally, since I will be analyzing, considering, and reporting on the effects of SNS, what I learned in statistics is also essential for my work.What I learned in the Department of Psychology has become my "strength."

My reason for enrolling in the Department of Psychology was vaguely "because I want to know how people feel," but as I took classes I became particularly interested in "consumer consumption behavior" x "survey data analysis/suggestions/recommendations." After graduating, I joined an advertising agency, where I was involved in branding activities for BtoC companies and the development of product promotional plans. Currently, as a marketing researcher, I conduct interviews and questionnaire surveys and analyze the data, helping with corporate marketing activities. Both of these are linked to my studies in the Department of Psychology, so they have become the foundation of my work and have given me confidence.

Studying psychology related to advertising and marketing allowed me to acquire the basics of research and analysis, which has been useful in my work. After graduating, I joined an advertising agency, where I am mainly in charge of managing corporate SNS and internet advertising. My work, which involves measuring, analyzing and examining the effectiveness of advertising, and reporting to clients, is definitely based on what I learned at university. It is so directly related to my current work that I sometimes remember "I learned this at university" while at work, and it is one of the areas I am glad I studied.

In the Department of Psychology, we not only conducted various experiments and surveys, but also repeatedly compiled reports and papers.Through this kind of work, I was able to develop the ability to think, organize, and consider things logically.Currently, I am working as a local public servant, where I have many opportunities to interact with local residents on a daily basis, working at counters and answering the telephone.When doing so, I try to understand the real intention from the other person's words without becoming too businesslike.In this way, I feel that what I have learned over the past four years is naturally connected to my attitude towards my daily work.When thinking about my career, I received career guidance based on the civil service exam, and was able to concentrate and balance my studies without feeling anxious.

I decided to study psychology because I wanted to study something that would help people, and now I work at a children's center, where I create a place for children.I unconsciously put into practice what I learned at university every day, such as trying to listen when talking to children and remembering infant psychology when talking to parents of young children.At Showa Women's University's Department of Psychology, you can study four areas in your first year: clinical, social, developmental, and cognitive, so you can choose the field you want to pursue.I believe that studying psychology will definitely be useful in any field of work.

I chose psychology because I wanted to understand the mechanisms of the mind so I could empathize with people's feelings and help them solve problems. Currently, I work as an office worker at the ward office, striving to meet the requests of the ward residents. There are various departments in the ward office and each department has different requirements, but I try to listen carefully to the requests of the residents and to resolve their anxieties and worries. Because the ward office needs to meet a wide variety of needs, the four areas I learned in the Department of Psychology - "cognitive," "developmental," "clinical," and "social" - are my strengths.

After graduating from the university, I started working at a private child psychological treatment facility, supporting the lives of children who have suffered emotional trauma. I work with the psychologists and teachers at the facility, as well as related organizations such as child consultation centers, to support various children, including those with problematic behaviors and traumatic symptoms resulting from experiences of abuse. I feel every day that the wide range of knowledge and skills I learned and developed in the Department of Psychology are the foundation for understanding and supporting children.

Currently, I work in a psychiatric hospital, helping people with mental illnesses to reintegrate into society. I feel every day that supporting patients requires not only clinical psychology, but a broad range of knowledge in psychology. In the Department of Psychology, I was able to learn a wide range of subjects, mainly "cognition," "development," "clinical," and "social," so I am able to think about support from various perspectives. Also, if there was anything, I was able to ask questions or consult with the teachers right away. Even now that I have graduated, I still treasure the class materials from that time, and what I learned in the Department of Psychology is a treasure to me.

A psychologist is a mental expert who approaches mental problems using specialized knowledge and techniques related to psychology.Currently, I work at a hospital with a psychiatric and internal medicine department, and am involved in a variety of tasks such as psychological testing, counseling, and support for caregivers and local communities, helping people live their own lives.In hospitals, when collaborating with various professions, it is necessary to have opinions from a psychological professional standpoint.In the Department of Psychology, I am able to learn about psychology comprehensively, from the basics to applications, without bias in any field, and I feel that what I have cultivated here has become the foundation for the specialization that is currently required.

Currently, I work to support children, conducting interviews and tests. In the Department of Psychology, you can learn the basics carefully in every field. What I learned in the Department of Psychology is useful when thinking about what I can do as a psychologist to support children. I also learned that collaboration with other organizations is important when providing support. While collaborating with various organizations such as schools, hospitals, and welfare facilities, I try to be able to take a proactive role in providing support as a psychologist.

I enrolled in the Department of Psychology because I wanted to work in a position that would make people smile. What made the biggest impression on me was when students administered various psychological tests to each other in class and learning how to listen to others. I was able to gain practical experience in learning what to pay attention to when administering psychological tests and how to listen to the person in front of me while facing them closely. I currently work as a psychological professional at a child consultation center. I still keep in mind what I learned in college, and in my daily work I listen to children while being close to them and think about how I can help them live more comfortably.
