Lesson
学期は前期(4月1日から9月30日まで)、後期(10月1日から3月31日まで)の2セメスター制とし、各セメスターでは原則として15週以上の授業を行います。In order to maximize the educational effect, classes are generally capped at 80 students, excluding general education subjects.
However, if there are very few people, the class may be closed. In order to further improve educational effectiveness and improve class efficiency, seats during class will be assigned individually.Although instructors may periodically change seats from a teaching standpoint, students are not allowed to change seats arbitrarily from lecture to lecture.
The instructor in charge of the class will create a seating chart after confirming the number of students taking the course, and will record attendance and regular grades.
In addition, this section covers rules regarding attendance, absence, tardiness, and early dismissal, such as non-recognition of credits if the number of absences for each subject exceeds 4 (in the case of 1 classes in a semester), as well as handling of excused absences and emergencies. I will explain.
We will also touch on the class improvement survey that we conduct every semester to improve our classes.
Point
- In the case of 1 classes per semester, students who are absent for more than 15 times will not be eligible to take the exam.

As a general rule, make-up classes will be held when classes are canceled. In that case, we will mainly contact you via UP SHOWA.
Class improvement survey
As part of our university's FD (Faculty Development: systematic efforts by faculty to improve and improve class content and methods), we conduct a class improvement survey (WEB survey). As a general rule, class improvement surveys are conducted for classes with 10 or more students. We would like to hear your honest opinions about the courses you have taken. *Students' personal information (whose answers are) will not be communicated to teachers. In order to improve the educational environment at our university, we ask all students to respond honestly. The results will be used as materials for universities and individual instructors to provide better classes in the future. The results of the class improvement questionnaire and general reviews for each department are published on the university website, and each faculty member's ``class improvement report'' is published on the UP SHOWA.
Please follow the instructions of your department regarding graduate school surveys.
