Please note that the following acts of falsifying class attendance (including those who have lent their student ID cards, those who have requested proxy attendance registration, etc.) will result in the subject evaluation being "failed". It may be passed.

  • Hold another person's student ID card over the IC card reader
  • Respond verbally to attend on behalf of someone else
  • Write attendance in the column of the absentee person in the attendance record.
  • Submit an attendance card on behalf of someone else

If you are absent more than a quarter of the class, you will not be eligible to take the final exam for the course and will not receive credits. Your attendance will be confirmed by the teacher in charge of the class in the 4th week of classes. Please make sure to check that your attendance is correct.

  • The prescribed number of absences is 1 absences for 15 classes in a semester, 5 absences for 7.5 classes, and 3 absences for 30 classes. (Attendance rate displayed on UP SHOWA is 9% or less)
  • Two instances of being late or leaving early within 10 minutes will be counted as one absence.
(For classes lasting less than 60 minutes, 10 minutes will be read as 5 minutes. The same applies hereafter)
  • Arriving late or leaving early by more than 10 minutes will be treated as an absence.
  • If the number of absences for the subject exceeds 4 (in the case of 1 classes per semester), the student will not be able to take the final exam and no credits will be recognized.
