Career education

INDEX

Cultivate the ability to "design your career" with an eye on your long life
Showa Women's University has formulated a career design policy (policy regarding social and professional independence) and is promoting career education so that students can develop the ability to design their careers while enrolled, and then find a job that suits them after graduation and live independent lives as members of society and professionals.
We do not consider "career" to be limited to finding employment after graduation, but rather foster the ability to "design" one's career, planning one's life with a focus on occupation and employment.

Career course system

At our university, "career subjects" consist of general education subjects, including "career core subjects," and specialized education subjects from each department. By systematically studying these subjects in accordance with the "career support goals" for each grade, which are specifically based on the "career design policy," students will acquire the knowledge, skills, abilities, and attitudes necessary for a career that utilizes their specialty, and gain the ability to design their way of life and work.
