Scholarship system

In addition to the Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship, Showa Women's University has its own scholarship systems, including the Hitomi Memorial Scholarship and Outstanding Achievement Scholarship.
On-campus scholarships: Hitomi Memorial Scholarship (grant, loan), Excellent Academic Scholarship, Privately Financed International Student Scholarship
External scholarships: Japan Student Services Organization scholarships, scholarships sponsored by private companies and foundations, etc.
Applications for most scholarships are made in April.
Students who wish to apply for a scholarship must attend the "Scholarship Information Session" held in April.
If you urgently need a scholarship due to a sudden change in your household finances, please contact the scholarship counter.

In addition to the Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship, we have our own unique scholarship systems such as the Hitomi Memorial Scholarship and Outstanding Achievement Scholarship (the contents may change).

New support system for higher education (free university tuition for large families)       *Our university is eligible for the new higher education support system for 2024.

Starting from the 2025 academic year, students from large families will be able to receive a reduction or exemption in university tuition fees and entrance fees up to a certain amount set by the government, without any income restrictions.
