[What made you decide to study Environmental Design? ]
My grandfather told me that the beautiful townscape of Nagahama, Shiga Prefecture, where my grandparents live, was built with respect for its historical and cultural landscape. I was. After entering the university, I learned in a class called "Introduction to Design Producing" that solving regional and social problems involves not only architecture and spatial design, but also approaches from the creation of systems such as products, applications, and events, so I chose the Design Produce course. .
[What did you learn? ]
In a class on the theme of "regional brands," I met a textile manufacturer with a long history in Shiga Prefecture and listened to what they had to say.Based on what I heard there, I considered it from various perspectives and proposed how to develop the textile brand.I learned the joy and difficulty of thinking down to the smallest detail so as to come up with a proposal that benefits many people.
[What do you want to work on from now on? ]
I would like to make the graduation work exhibition of my classmates and seniors participating in the course a success.I think that the event will be held at an off-campus gallery, which will be a valuable opportunity to widely disseminate the works of seniors.I would like to make it an opportunity for more people to learn about the learning and fun of the Design Produce Course.
[Which class left an impression on you?] ]
In "Design Planning Exercise I2", we proposed a plan to the Romance Car Museum (Odakyu Electric Railway) with the theme of "experience design".In order to make the diorama inside the museum even more enjoyable, we designed a fan titled "From the window of Odakyu".We also planned and implemented a mutual discount campaign with shops around Kyodo Station.I was keenly aware of the difficulty of realizing the project, but I was really happy to hear that it was well received by the customer.
