[What motivated you to pursue the Department of Social Welfare and Social Sciences?] ]
When I was in high school, I heard more and more news about child abuse, and learned about the tragic situation.I chose this department because I wanted to learn why such things are happening and what kind of support children who have been abused and their parents need.
[What did you learn? ]
I learned the importance of developing support according to each person's individuality and development when providing interpersonal assistance. In addition, I was able to connect the knowledge I had learned so far to more practical learning through volunteering and training at after-school daycare.
[What do you want to work on from now on? ]
After graduation, it has been decided that I will work at a children's center or school as a child instructor.Of course, I want to be able to be close to the feelings of parents as well as children. For that reason, I would like to improve my knowledge necessary for a human assistance job and deepen my understanding of support systems and laws by studying for the national exam for social workers.
[Which class left an impression on you?] ]
It is a "social work project" in which students take the lead in volunteering in their own fields of interest. In my first year, I volunteered at an after-school daycare, and in my second year, I volunteered for online storytelling and craft classes.Through this class, I think I was able to learn practically in the field that I am interested in.
