OF FOREIGN STUDENTS
Welcoming
students from all countries
Showa welcomes students from all countries to study
at its Tokyo campus. There are three categories of foreign students at Showa:
1. Students admitted from universities that have an agreement with Showa for
a one-year period (tuition and dormitory fees exempt).
2. Students recommended
by the Pan Pacific University Association (tuition and dormitory fees exempt).
3. Students who pay their own way. These are students who will pay tuition and
fees and who have passed a firstsecond-degree Japanese language skills proficiency
test and who have been accepted by any department with the exception of the Department
of English Language and Communication where the test in Japanese is not required.
Kinds of tests:
(1) Written test focusing on the Japanese language.
(2) Interview test of the students ability in Japanese conversation.
(3) Proficiency tests in general academic areas.
